Steve's Adventure with the Peace Corps
The "Steve's Adventure" blog started as a way to update Steve's friends and famiy members. It charts the progress of Steve Hunsicker's Peace Corps experience beginning with the application process all the way through his last day in Tonga.
Steve updated the blog at least once a week during his time in Tonga. It became not just a way for Steve to update the people he knew, but to update the friends and families of other volunteers. Many family members regularly read the blog updates to hear what their relatives were doing in Tonga.
The blog has also been featured in the Peace Corps Times, a printed newsletter that is distributed to all Peace Corps volunteers.
The most read blog entires have been those that talk about the Peace Corps Medical process and one of the first entries Steve wrote about Tonga.
The entry called "What Makes a President Cry" is also one of the top five most read entries. It details Steve's trip to a ceremony with former President Jimmy Carter where he talked about his mother's Peace Corps experience.
